Websites and Load speeds

Load speeds between 30% & 65% are not unusual for most websites.

The rule of thumb is that if you do not notice extended loading of web pages, or visitors are not reporting such issues, then there isn't an issue!

As a matter of routine First Stop ensures that all the necessary optimization measures are included in any websites that we build, however we have no control over other external factors.

There are several factors that affect the speed a website loads including:

• The speed of a users Internet connection
• Volume of other users visiting a website
• Hosting choice and the number of other sites sharing cloud servers
• The size of the website (e.g. stored files, pages and articles etc
• The number of images or files (Word, MP3's etc) on a page
• The number of plugins/software running a website
• The choice of browser (Windows IE, Chrome, Firefox etc)
